A proposal to bounce, echo, swing, repeat, wonder. A way to train readiness, timing, intuitive choice and allow the unfolding of a cognitive process that places rhythm at the center of inquiry.
We will dance the chaos of the body as an elastic, responsive, adaptive system sensitive to internal and external stimuli, in which multiple information and possibilities coexist simultaneously. We will tune in to the rhythmic potential that such chaos
-apparently unorganized- carries within itself, to generate a movement logic based on rhythm, repetition, continuity/concatenation, echo, rebound. On this basis, we will improvise, create and compose, solo, group, hand-to-hand.
We will accurately investigate the properties of fascia, tone, dynamic posture, and biomechanics of movement.
We will move between somatic exploration, analysis, deep listening and dynamism. The meetings are divided into times of theory, application, reflection and sharing in order to access the complexity of the body in a titular and assimilable way.
This is somatic and performative research nurtured by the principles of the axis syllabus. What is axis syllabus?
This training is for dancers, actors, artists, and researchers who wish to nurture an investigation of the body in art and performance, enriching their somatic vocabulary and movement practice. For all people, even those with little experience, who wish to encounter the body in terms of knowledge and research, in a safe and non-competitive group field.
Salotto Somatico program orient to a multifaceted view of the body, celebrating a dialogue between art, health and life.
