This training is for dancers, actors, artists, and researchers who wish to nurture an investigation of the body in art and performance, enriching their somatic vocabulary and movement practice. For all people, even those with little experience, who wish to encounter the body in terms of knowledge and research, in a safe and non-competitive group field.

Yiskah is a dancer, choreographer, and teacher. She is a researcher in the field of movement and somatic languages. For over twenty-five years, she has guided groups and individuals through artistic, performative, therapeutic, and personal growth journeys. She trained in contemporary and African dance in Europe and Africa, working in dance and theater companies, on social projects for people with disabilities, and as a street performer. She has been part of the Axis Syllabus community for sixteen years and teaches regularly in study groups. In this area of research, she explores the role that the AS can play in terms of the ethics of movement, both in everyday life and in the art of the body, and in dialogue with his artistic exploration.
She also works in the field of bio-natural disciplines as a biodynamic craniosacral therapist, a facilitator in biodynamic mindfulness, a yoga teacher, and a somatic practitioner specializing in integrated women’s health. At the heart of her research, in every area of inquiry, is the role that presence can play in life and art. BIO complete

Ilaria was introduced to classical dance as a child, and she continued to practice it alongside contemporary dance until she was twenty.
As a teenager, she met Marina De Stefani, the creator of DanzEspressiva—the De Stefani Method ©. This method explores the boundary between sensitivity and the psyche through an expressive and choreographic exploration in which movement arises from the dancer’s creativity and inner world—as a product of the close relationship between movement, physicality, personal experience, and the dancer’s temperament.
By the time she turned twenty, she began to distance herself from academic dance. She moved to Padua to begin her university studies in Neuro- and Psychomotor Therapy for Children and Adolescents. There, she discovered Contact Improvisation through the CIP (Contact Improvisation Padova) group and fell in love with dance all over again. She moved away from DanzEspressiva, which she still appreciates and thanks for what it taught her. She then began exploring improvisation—both as a solo practice and in relation to other bodies. Contact Improvisation and somatic practices supported her in her questions, intuitions, and hypotheses.
In August 2025, she completed Michele Marchesani’s “Tatto Interno” training.
Throughout her journey in Contact Improvisation, Ilaria has had the opportunity to meet and dance with Eszter Gál, Charlie Morrissey, Itay Yatuv, Linda Bufali, Leilani Weis, Michele Marchesani, Elisa Ghion, Mirva Makinen, Nina Wehnert, Karen Nelson, Lior Ophir, Joaquín Alfei, Paola Andreatta, and Consuelo Pacheco.
In November 2023, Ilaria moved from Veneto, her home region, to Reggio Emilia to work in Child Neuropsychiatry at the ASL. This was an opportunity for her to plant the seed of Contact Improvisation in this city. From here, that seed is growing and blossoming thanks to the CÔR group (Contact Improvisation Reggio Emilia). The 2025–2026 program includes evening workshops and a monthly workshop.
