How does accurate perception of body volumes and their behavior in space enliven awareness and influence movement management?
We will construct a three-dimensional body from perceptual, somatic and biomechanical explorations. We will observe the body's implicit tendency to suggest a spiral organization, aimed at movement efficiency. We will consider spiral organization, as a strategy that the body implements, in order to preserve itself during movement, structurally and energetically. We will investigate the values that a three-dimensional body carries in relation to the context or other bodies, such as the ability to keep itself adaptable, ready, elastic, responsive, dynamic, intact, strong. On this basis, we will access a well-managed and oriented movement dynamic, with greater awareness regarding how we inhabit our physical space and that of others. We will draw from the axis syllabus archive to primarily look at and apply the concept of osculation.
We will dance in solo or dialog contact between bodies, moving between somatic exploration, analysis, deep listening and dynamism. Transmission happens by articulating moments of theory, application, reflection and sharing in order to access the complexity of the body in a titular and assimilable way.
The Axis Syllabus, somatics and biodynamic presence practices nourish this research at its root and their fruits are implicitly expressed in the dance.
This training is for dancers, actors, artists, and researchers who wish to nurture an investigation of the body in art and performance, enriching their somatic vocabulary and movement practice. For all people, even those with little experience, who wish to encounter the body in terms of knowledge and research, in a safe and non-competitive group field.
Salotto Somatico program orient to a multifaceted view of the body, celebrating a dialogue between art, health and life.
