This research is an invitation to attend the contact between bodies as a dynamic field of forces in dialogue: a shared, adaptive and sensitive system in which temporary spaces and forms and shifting balances are co-created in a continuous process of reorganization.
We will explore the structural principle of tensegrity and transpose it into contact, in terms of relational quality, in order to create stability, flexibility, readiness. We will train variations in weight, tone, balance, effort, timing, in order to sustainably manage our structure and shared structure. We will refine body intelligence and responsiveness to the unpredictability of contact, inhabiting the boundary between autonomy and interdependence.
We will move between somatic exploration, analysis, deep listening and dynamism. We will look at how the axis syllabus and somatics can inform and support the quality of contact in continuous movement. We will navigate the territory of contact improvisation, partnering and instant composition.
We will alternate between moments of theory, application, reflection and sharing in order to access the complexity of the body in a titular and assimilable way.
This training is for dancers, actors, artists, and researchers who wish to investigation of the body in art and performance, enriching their somatic vocabulary and movement practice. It also open to people with little experience, inclined to encounter the body in terms of knowledge and research, in a safe and non-competitive group environment.
Salotto Somatico programs orient to a multifaceted view of the body, celebrating a dialogue between art, health and life.
