In this workshop we will explore the feeling of having a center of reference from which to organize the movement of the body as a whole,in which all parts cooperate in a functional dialogue, determining relationships of interdependence, continuity and coherence. On this basis, we will land in the dynamism of dance with less need for effort, increasing mastery and coordination skills, refining spatial orientation, balance, weight management. There will be a few moments devoted to anatomy and biomechanics, which we will look at through the maps that the axis syllabus gives us. We will especially investigate the concept of anatomical center and apply it to movement.
We will cultivate a perceptual quality capable of keeping us in a state of presence, listening and willingness to change, from which a combined sense of power can emerge during movement.
We will dance in solo or dialogic contact between bodies, moving between somatic exploration, analysis, deep listening and dynamism. The encounters are divided into moments of theory, application, reflection and sharing, in order to access the complexity of the body in a titular and assimilable way.
Axis Syllabus, somatics, and biodynamic mindfulness nourish this research at its root, and their fruits are implicitly expressed in the dance.
This training is for dancers, actors, artists, and researchers who wish to investigation of the body in art and performance, enriching their somatic vocabulary and movement practice. It also open to people with little experience, inclined to encounter the body in terms of knowledge and research, in a safe and non-competitive group environment.
Salotto Somatico programs orient to a multifaceted view of the body, celebrating a dialogue between art, health and life.
